A Review of Sitcom How I Met Your Mother


How I Met Your Mother is a popular and award winning sitcom that is also highly rated among critics and tv viewers. How I Met Your Mother is created by Craig Thomas and Carter Bays and its pilot was first broadcasted in 2005.

Ever since the pilot, How I Met Your Mother is winning many awards from ALMA awards to SAG awards, and even a Golden Globes and Emmy for Outstanding Comedy and Ensemble Cast. Neil Patrick Harris plays one of the most popular characters these days, Barney and has won various awards for portraying him. He has won People's Choice Awards, Satellite Award Best Actor, a Teen Choice Award and an Emmy for Best Actor in a Comedy series.

If you haven't watch How I Met Your Mother, it is set in the future year of 2030. It is narrated by an older Ted Mosby, who is telling his children about how he met their mother. His story involves his friends Marshall, his wife Lily, Barney, his playboy friend and his crush Robin Scherbatsky.

The whole story started in 2005 when Ted was still 27, single, just started his career and finding out about Marshall and Lily's engagement. Marshall was still studying for his bar exam, Lily an artist that was working as a kindergarten teacher and Barney, a businessman who fooled around with women. Ted's crush Robin was a up and running reporter and journalist.


Due to the popularity of Barney as the likable womanizer, people are switching to How I Met Your Mother to see how he picks up his women. Another reason why people are tuning in to watch the show is to know the real identity of Ted's wife. In its 8th season now, there are several hits and misses on guessing who Ted's wife would turn out to be - Robin is out as she is regularly referred as Aunt Robin, but the wife is definitely a student in Ted's architectural class, a room mate of one of Ted's ex and carries a yellow umbrella everywhere.

How I Met Your Mother has been syndicating for years and is now in its 8th season and its ratings are climbing and awards accumulating. Be sure to tune in to How I Met Your Mother.
